Metaverse Ink Search, formerly called SLBrowser, is the first and only independent search engine for virtual worlds, searching over 2 million products in tens of thousand virtual places. Ranking of search results is done using heuristics specifically devised for these environments.
OpenSearch is Metaverse Ink's initiative to make search in virtual world viewers more like search in modern web browsers, namely user-configurable. Use it with your SL™ viewer, and you will be able to access two virtual world search engines from the same interface, The Ink's and Linden Lab® search.
